Can't diagnose white smoke out of exhaustpipe

My first 240 burnt oil and smoked - every single piston ring was broken into small pieces (unknown to me) but it still ran. I went to Scotland in it!

I think the always smell juicy compared to modern cars (with cats)

If it’s oil put a piece of card behind the exhaust it will be black in seconds.

Did you look underneath it at the chassis rails and floors?

They do look good don't they these rally Datsuns, even if they are a visual copy of a 'works' car?

Co-driver to hang on to when standing on those footrests. If in mud it gives better traction.
