Busy weekend for car meets in oxfordshire

Spoilt for choice of where to take the Z this Sunday the 8th. Anyone around who fancies meeting up.

There's a morning classic car meet at the Flowing Spring pub between Henley and Reading. 9.30-11.30am. Something they started only this year quite successfully.

Then a middle of the day for event for Thames Valley adjacent to the Stag and Huntsman pub at Hambledon between Henley and Marlow. 10.45ish informal

Also a car rally and parade with music and other shenanigans in Wallingford, though registration closed for parking on site in the town centre ... but you can join the parade still.

I'm considering going to the first two above ... you never know who you'll meet at the things. Anyone fancy it?

Well it turned into a fine day at two meets. I first rocked up with my daughter at the Flowing Spring breakfast meet and quickly fell into conversation with a guy telling me I was the first Z they'd had there (today only their second event). Then, within only a short time club members Nmd14 and Niroshann arrived next to me in their pale blue series 1 240 and gold/black 2+2. A mini Z-Club meet ensued .. it was great to meet you both among the 50-60 in attendance

Following we crossed through Henley to a Thames Valley jaguar owners arranged meet - much larger and diverse crowd there and a glorious day to be in the Oxfordshire valleys.

Indeed. What a change from winter coats to suncream in two weeks ! Niroshann had his Targa roof off.
