The Hagerty price guide update for Q3 2017 is interesting reading. Although there are now frequent reports of 'crashing' in classic car values it seems that many continue to rise (typically by around 5% a year). Those which have fallen, in some cases quite dramatically, include certain jaguars, DeLorean and many Ferraris.
Notable 'risers' include certain Alfa Romeo models, the Golf GTI Mk1 and the Datsun 240Z. The 'Z' achieving an impressive 23.2% over the year.
