Yeah, put me down for a LHD set, and I'll buy the bronze bushing set too. If you do make any headway with the inner tie rods, I'll be interested in them too.

Cheers

If the Rack & Pinion set is reversible to allow it to fit a RHD case, I would be up for a unit and bushings aswell!

How's it going on with the racks?

My steering rack has quite a bit free play around the middle position, would this be fixed with a new bar and pinion?

What was the outcome on this thread, as it seems to have been on the go since Oct 2020? is there any one who does a reconditioning service for RHD 240/260Z steering rack, I did try Western Power Steering but they weren't interested in a none power steering rack.

I think our best bet would be to convince Techno toy Tuning to produce their new rack in RHD. Im sure if enough people were intestested and it was viable for them they would produce it.

Exactly what I was going to say, the guys there are pretty good at coming back to enquiries. Changing the ratio is probably the hardest part I'd imagine. I'm sure they've got some Japanese import they can look at for the RHD aspect.

It does say "Steering ratio is identical to the quickest steering ratio offered on the early 240Z" but how that compares to the UK/Japanese spec I'd have no idea!

But will this be another two year debate with still no outcome? Would or could the club put some sort of deal in place for RHD racks with Techno Toy Tuning if members were to pay a deposit?

you'll notice it hit covid square on. I actually put a lot of time and some cash into it. with the timing around covid, I put it all on hold. I have found another option, which would be much better than techno toy. their prices for a new rack with shipping and duty is nuts, given what it is.

I did get a Rack rebuilt to as new in the UK, which was custom bushings and proper preload's with bearings etc, which after the custom tools I paid for, ended up being circa £250.

Hi Please also add me to your list, if RHD steering racks/parts are available in the near future.

Will need one at some point. Started to investigate options, and this option sounds good.
