Brake upgrades, inc handbrake concerns

Only Jag disc's for the 280z I'm afraid, (no GTR because of the offset)

I just checked and the calliper I brought from RockAuto and it was a NUGEON 9700561A , Make sure they are the aluminium ones

Or get yourself some GTR callipers, (yes the ones in the link are GTR) smooth bodies rather than finned which some people think are GTR,
, all depends if you want your callipers to say NISSAN on them and price range , I would get any callipers rebuilt if second hand or go through them yourself,

Looks like the 300zx ones are now about £85 each now plus VAT plus shipping so maybe OG GTR callipers at around £300 are cheaper ?

cost wise its £60 to machine the discs plus postage , and £150 for the adapters depending if I have any material left over, and you will need new front flexis to

Thanks Gary. So the discs need machining too? I didn't realise that. So would I have to send my discs to you for machining every time they need changing? Admittedly that probably wouldn't be very often!

Do you have part numbers for the jag discs? And also how do I find pads - is it just any that fit the 300zx non-turbo, or GTR if going with that option?

The pads are interchangeable between 300zx and GTR and some Subaru's , So you have a massive choice really , Project Muu ,Ferodo DS3000 etc etc

I would be very surprised if they came with 'Nissan' on them, mine didn't even though it said they would , they just have a flat part in the casting where it should be. I was gonna machine a kool logo in there.

Any competent machine shop can do the dics's for you, you could find somewhere local and ask them for a price and save sending them to me, I have got a lot on at the moment

An Update to all this is brake stuff .

Made another set of custom Bells for a club member to upgrade to R32 GTR callipers on there 240z with the Techno Toy Tunning 5x114. stud alloy hubs this time, using Wilwood disc's same as my car runs,

Anyone with my 240z kit can upgrade to these alloy bells and run them with the Wilwood Discs, Saving some weight and its easier to replace them as the disc's don't need machining when replacing.
