Brake upgrades, inc handbrake concerns

Is that 360mm of just flexi or incl the pipework on the female end?
it was end to end, not just the flexi. on the swivel end it was upto the 90° bend. So it got a little bit longer after I straightened it!

Have u tried it with the loop going downwards instead of upwards, it looks like on full lock it may get close to the top inner rim?
I checked with the wheel on and it didn't get closer than a couple of cm, but I'll see what its like at other angles when I get a chance.

my $3.50 brake pads came in, and they have wear indicators built in.

but the wear indicator tab fouls on the caliper mount ears

stopping the caliper early, leaving the pads overlapping the disc.

So I'll have to cut the tab off the pads. does that make sense to you guys, or have I got something wrong?

OK, these brake lines work better.
still 360mm, 20° 3/8 banjo but this time straight, fixed female circlip m10x 1.0 on the inner arch end.

I've now got my r32/z32 front calipers installed.
I have to say that that for the first time in a couple of years, I'm beginning to trust the brakes to always stop the car. It just pulls up in a straight line time after time now.
Top mod. (after a silly engine that is).

I got the brackets and disc mods from Gary (Atomman). He has now got the measure of the setup on 260 hubs as well with Jag S-type 300mm rotors, so I'm sure he could be persuaded to sort others out too.

That’s looks really good. Glad you’ve got a load of confidence in them. What did you go for out back, did you stick with drums?

Suppose I should probably add some feedback in here too!
Grabbed this kit last year from Gary after sourcing the calipers. Can safely echo comments above, fantastic setup, refurbed calipers coupled with the braided lines and decent pads it really does grind the car to a halt sharpish.

How were you getting on with the prototype bell setup Gary?
Still very much interested!

These look awesome! Love the fact of using Nissan calipers on our cars. Shame we cant get the rears to work as there is no handbrake function :(

When I eventually have mine arrive I'll do a review on the fitment under my 15" Atara Pisangs...

You can use the rears with the apex kit.....

I'm going to stick with the stock rear end setup and just change the lower arms and poly bush things I think. The apex rear kit looks a bit too overkill for what I need on a road car. I already have the 3.9 long nose coming, and the z31 OEM axles.

Best bit was the discs were £16 delivered and the pads were $3.50 (delivery cost more though!)
