quick update

Disc finally arrived yesterday ,

look's good and similar dimension wise to the R32 GTR item , and pad wipe looks good

I had some spare time in work today so measured it all up and designed up a quick bell for it,

Still need to do the stress and strain stuff tomorrow but will order up some T6 ally and knock one up to see how it all sits

a quick calc and it weighs around 5kg for bell and disc , cant remember what the other weigh . i think woody did it somewhere ?

Sounds very promising! Watching with great interest as I still think this is the ultimate solution, the R32 brakes have been working a dream around Europe :) This should weigh even less and make servicing so much easier!

Just looked at my old photos and the R32 disk with the titanium bracket weighed in at 7.678kg for reference.

Both my willwood setups with ul32 are on 16” wheels. My RKR 15” setup on the ratty car has standard zed brakes.

The new silver car has 7twenty 16” wheels and are very very close. I’ll take a picture today.

The UL32 298mm should fit under the 15's with the skyline caliper from what I have worked out so far. I have tried these wilwoods on the model to but need to check the inner diamter of the 15's again later to double check

Thanks Woody from my working out the disc, caliper and titanium adapter bracket now will weigh in @ Mass = 5484.59 grams

So 5.5 Kg

The issue I have is with certain wheel designs the face is very close and the face to rim transition curve may interfere with the outer corner of the Caliper.

Wow so almost half the weight of the current setup!

With the caliper, disk and bracket it is currently 10.7kg almost bang on....

Watching with great interest too as I haven't even fitted my setup from yourself yet due to house hunting etc. It's shamefully all sitting pretty in a box!

May hold off for now if this works out! Impressive weight reduction and as Woody said, makes future servicing simpler.

Have you made any more progress with this Gary?

Morning Jon ,

Yes, I've made a bit more progress, I have just brought another disc and also another set of GT-R calipers so I can have a play around over the Christmas break, look's like it will work , but I may need to move the holes on the bracket out a little but hoping I don't have to , I have made another 2 sets of the OG brackets but haven't drilled the other's yet just in case,

will fit it on the Z over the next week and see how it all sits,
