Brake Master Rebuild Kit 280zx

Hey All in the UK. I am wondering whether you are able to find parts like brake master seal kits off places like eurocarparts or other motorfactors in the UK? Back in NZ where I used to live, you could find parts like master cylinder seals quite easily and not pay over the top, but I seem to struggle in the UK - seem to need reg numbers and cannot browse catalogues. Am I missing a trick? Obviously keen to get a reputable kit so a bit reluctant to try parts off ebay.

Try Mike Feeney at MJP Auto, if he hasn't got it he can get it.

If you can't find what you need in the UK you would need to get it in from the US or perhaps NZ?

I am finding it harder each year to source items in the UK, they just don't tend to come up. Mike had to source me a simple track rod end from the States as I couldn't get one here!

I did find Delphi clutch slave and master cylinders on Ebay last year, but it can be hit and miss on availability. They were really cheap though... £13 for the slave cylinder £35 for the master.

If you can work out what other Nissan models used the same part, you may have more luck tracking it down.

PS: you could try a motor factors in Reading, give them a call and see what they say, but I think it will be a struggle.

Repair kits are as rare as rocking horse droppings. You can still get the repair seals from Protex (ebay) all the way from Australia! Unless anyone else has a supply stashed away, I don't think you will get a repair kit in the UK very easily.

Other option is to replace the master cylinder complete, Mike or a US or a Japanese supplier will be your best bet.

I do have a brand new, still in the box never fitted, master cylinder for a later 82-83 280ZX if you are interested. Drop me a pm if you are.
