Didn't manage to make it today but saw lots of classics out on the roads.
I'll try to make the next one either with my Singer Chamois Sport with The Imp Club, or who knows, I might have a Z by then!

Hope those that went had a good time.

A very busy meet. Maybe the busiest meet yet at Bicester.
Whoever drove into Tesco's carpark at 8.30 this morning in a silver Z, four of us drove out as you went in. We all waved and thought you had seen us, and so thought you would follow us. I guess you didn't see us.
Eight Z's in total(that I saw) plus 3 or more club members who forgot to come in a Z :p EXTRA;). Gary (Atomman), Mikee beat your record today. He got as close as the gate but had a burn in the wiring loom and didn't quite manage to get his car into the show, but couldn't have got any closer.
Overall a really good day :)

Several Imps drove in as we went in.

Oh No , he did get closer than me though , hope its nothing to serious and can be fixed easily ,

Looks a good turn out , I really like the simple look of the white early Z ,

Will try and make the next one for sure

I didn't realise how rare the 3000ME is, just over 100 produced over a 5 year period.
Neil's is a really superb original car and probably the best example left with just 5k miles from new.

That'll explain why I couldn't find one on ebay!

Next Scramble (April) clashes with an Imp Club event in Scotland but I'm going to try to arrange an Imp Club stand at the June 21st Super Scramble so should hopefully be there.
If I can get myself in a Z before then I'll get a mate to drive the Imp and I can park the Z with you guys.

AC 300ME. I can remember when these were first designed and named a Diablo (long before Lamborghini). They never really got the sales that they deserved - lovely car although I've never seen one 'in the flesh'. How does it handle with that F**d engine in the back?

Well, when there were tickets available, I didn't know if I'd have a working engine!

Well sometimes in life you just have to take a bit of a gamble EXTRA:D
Tickets were £6.30 early bird, we all took a chance buying so far in advance, not much to lose if you don't end up going for whatever reason.
Being January it may have been snowing or roads could have been salted and wet in which case none of us would have gone in our Zs.

Hi Bob
It drives /handles really well and the build quality is very good
Ford Essex v6 is transversely mounted and drive to the Hewland gearbox is via triplex chain.
