I got that bit smart ass but I was after details! What did you hit and how fast were you going for that much damage!?
I've no idea, no recollection of 10 mins before to 12 hrs after.
I only know that when i got it back, the front mudguard was broken and jammed against the wheel. Oh, and my umbrella was bent.

Wow, poor you! I have nothing to complain about!!!! Glad you made it through that chap, much have been terrible for your family. :(

Isn’t it strange how your mind blanks memories before a serious incident!! This happens to people all the time.

Nasty that - glad your ok .

Ive had it happen with a broken mech hanger - with the derallieur flicking into the spokes.

Fortunately i was just starting a short but steep climb ( although it was pitch black in the middle of the dales ) and the rapid stop just ended up with me falling over in a heap .

I got the rear wheel free and untangled and turned around - i just had the momentum to coast back to the pub we had just left .

While the lads carried on - it took another 4 pints until the Mrs managed to find me and carry out a rescue ..............

Thanks guys! I’m mostly back on action again. Amazing how quickly it’s healing but I still can’t lift heavy things or put and weight on my elbow yet.

The good news is that I can once again sit at a desk comfortably with my forearms down - “yay” I hear the 9 people waiting on dating letters say ;)
