I think there's more of most 'classics' coming up for sale. I'd guess the prospect of an easy 4% on savings/investments are pushing the upper end stuff out.

Easy 4%…but still at least 6% under inflation. You’re money would be better in the car imo.

Think those with money generally want the best on offer eg a great classic versus a ‘run of the mill’ modern sports car; this was a ‘mid table’ car who’s potential audience are indeed under the cosh financially.
