Guys I have been updating my devices to the new BT Anti Virus i.e. from McAfee to Nortons.

PC went ok and my phone but my tablet was not seeing the app to download.

Anyway after hours - yes hours I've finally found out that my tablet is too old.

I have a Samsung SM-T800 running on Android 6.0.1

I need to be 'V8' ha ha or above I think we are at 'V12' now?

Is there anyway I can get it updated, it's not supported officially anymore?

Very interesting and thank you.

I would get stressed trying to do that because I'm not software savy. Each to their own.

The tablet is like new and I'd hate to render it wrecked.

I wonder it it has much value - I'll search Ebay.

It is 7 years old and has an excellent camera and screen - I bought it for those features.

If anyone on here is confident to do this upgrade and would be prepared to take it on please discuss.

TBH I usually expect a life span of 2 to 3 years for most tech today. I have newer tablets in my junk pile. The tablet is likely not worth much. I have loaded a update like this for one of my sons tablets who normally destroys them in a year... it lasted and extra 3 months. It depends what you use it for, the amazon readers are very cheap on the silly offer days and if you can put up with all the sales stuff its a cheap way to get tablet use.

I use a PC and mouse for most browsing work and only use a tablet for odd reading, that's just me
