I own a 94 N/A 300ZX import which has an A/T POWER/HOLD switch on the dash. Can any one tell me what function it has. Switching it on only seems to bring on a warning light. <img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'>

A/T POWER select will allow higher rpm in each gear, thus holding the engine fully into the peak power band. However, the A/T computer seems to do this automatically for you when you start driving more enthusiastically and the loud pedal stays on the floor for longer. If you have time to look, you will see the power light flicker on even when POWER is not selected! The HOLD function locks out 1st gear for better traction starts in slippery conditions - select for winter driving or getting up the muddy farm track from a standstill....
