A story to rival Big Sam ;)

I do like that, always liked them when they were new. Was a huge Sheene fan in the 70s because he had the best christian name going and because of his skill and sense of humour.

I remember Murray Walker commentating on the start of one race and as the camera panned across the front row of the grid, Sheene held up a piece of cardboard with "HELLO MUM!" scrawled on it.

Saw him race a classic bike at Goodwood Revival around 2000 and he anihialated the rest of the field to the extent that he slowed down to let them catch up, then shot off again. A great entertainer.

Seen Sheene race many times. He was like Mansell, always tried and was a great racer.

I saw a banner at one circuit and it read something like 'Mr Sheene shines on any surface'.
