A quick plastidip for a rusty bolt

I had this door lock bolt replaced under warranty before but now it's gone rusty again:

So I removed it (it's a funny little blighter):

Don't worry the lock stays in place OK but I chose not to shut the door just in case.

Then I screwed it into a raw plug so I could hold it as I used a dremel-style tool to clean it up:

Then I fitted it back onto the car and gave it a coating of plastidip:

Hopefully it will stay rust free now.

I was a little hasty peeling the excess plastidip off so I may have another go at sealing it against moisture again if needs be.

Anyway, it certainly looks better for now :)

Whilst I was at it... Normally the '370Z' badge is silver but since I have a bit of a yellow and black theme going on so I sprayed the badge too:

I like the black badge, works great against the yellow!

I'm also a lover of the black on yellow theme.

    Thanks folks.

I'm quite a fan of yellow on black too. Maybe one I day I'll switch!
