Took my 280z out for a long drive on Sunday, was feeling thirsty so my partner improvised a cup-holder by removing the ashtray from behind the gearstick, the hole beneath it proving the perfect size for a can of coke...
Fast forward to this evening and while out for a spin I notice a blast of hot air coming through the makeshift cup holder from somewhere in the transmission tunnel. It only happens at speed so it's clearly air being drawn in from outside the car, heated by the exhaust or engine & then dumped into the cabin.
I'm assuming that this is a Bad Thing and that there's a hole in the bodywork somewhere it's not meant to be, but just wanted to check whether anyone had experienced something similar?
