Good story. There is a chap called Andy Guy on here who bought his 280ZX new, sold it and then bought it from auction many years later. He was at the auction for another car!

I'm tempted to put a bid in, it's hit reserve and is still only at £2,900....hmmm, just the auto box is off-putting....!

I might Ave a look later today as I’m over daughters for dinner guess where she lives ?
How much are they worth in good nick as I might offload the Z 4 which would leave an empty space, although they are like a boat round the lanes it doesn’t matter as got other toys for that sort of stuff

When you weigh things up I think the 280zx is a better car, defo better to drive especially with the T bar and it handles better and looks better so for not a lot of money compared to the Toyota I’d put my dosh on a decent ZX,yeah I know they ain’t gonner be worth as much as a Z or the Toyota boat but they are a much better car to drive unless you r looking for a so called investment then it’s the boat that’ll win ,for now but the ZX is better looking anyway

Agree but I’ve had a couple ZX s and driven the other plenty and the ZX is the better car but then you wouldn’t buy. 280 as an investment as much as the Toyota might be in the future

I'm sure I read back in the 80s that the original Supra was tweaked by Lotus, part of which was the wider stance with the wheel arch extensions.

you’ll be my hero if you do. I’ve no idea how complex they are to fix body wise though?

Was at £2900 until the last few seconds then a quick bid got it for £3100

still a good buy, but the auto box was enough to stop me spending :D
