    Yeah that's correct.

Will you be documenting this stuff via Youtube channel or just show the work through pictures?

It's possibly a little late for your Wish List to Santa.

Will you accept an alternative? Maybe a nice pair of Stilettos?

This looks an interesting project, just remember the guys doing Project Binky reckon it take 3 times longer to build anything if you video it (in the detail they do). The odd video would be nice though! Best of luck and keep us posted.

General comment - for those who think this is sacrilege; duly noted. I for one am happy to see the process.

Its going to be an interesting project for sure.

I can't see how you can get one of the modern bodykits through IVA, maybe you could do something tasteful like a period group IV looking one, so real period looking with the GTR donor parts?

So this car will keep the VIN of the GTR, yes, and just have some 240Z panels on it ... so doesn't need re-registering, or any type of IVA test presumably ... is that how it works?

A friend of mine is nearing completion of his DB5. The body is 1 of 2 replica's built with moulds taken from an original. The other body has now replaced the owners original car which was used for racing. Anyway, my mate has built his shell onto a spaceframe car based entirely of BMW running gear. It is nearly ready for IVA and appears to be a simple process to get it passed.

No, it can't keep the vin of the gtr.

I'm not even sure what this thing is going to look like - any pointers? So it WILL have to undergo an IVA? Q plate? - How does it work?

gtr floor pan - 1/3rd of a 240z, custom everything else. So it will have to have an IVA.

I remember a thread on the GTR.co.uk forum where a project to combine a Mitsubishi Evo with a 4-door 510 Bluebird started off with high hopes and ended up, I believe, going nowhere good...

Good engineering practice being required is a given, but it also requires good taste. Some people just make it up as they go along:

    My old 510. EXTRA:(

And last I heard it was broken up and shell sold. It's so modified that it can only be a "competition\track day car.
