A customer of mine recently rang Nissan to blag some tickets to see the 350Z at the NEC Motor Show (ha!ha!<img src="http://www.zclub.net/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt='
'> - he was given the information that, as Nissan were launching the new Micra, they didn't want to detract from this, so the 350Z would not be there!!!! However, after a ten minute sarcastic tirade from said customer, he did get verbal confirmation of an October 2003 release for the UK and a price of £27,500 - can we wait that long?
A Jap import looks very tempting if you have the cash to spend and, at c£30,000 the price is not too far away from the projected UK price (and the spec is probably better).
One of my suppliers in the USA, Stillen, have released their body kit parts and have a prototype supercharger rigged up on a car. This is said to provide 70-80 bhp and will be coupled with an active hi-flow induction kit and other goodies. 400bhp should be a serious possibility.
Check out the Stillen parts at a recent show - www.freshalloy.com and look under Stillen Nissan Day. Lots of pics - body kits available from MJP (Eastern Auto):
Front fascia £549
Rear valence £295
Sill covers £450 pair
All plus VAT and subject to revision without notice....
A second kit version is already in the pipeline.
BTW there is an unsold silver LHD 350Z in a Nissan showroom in Abu Dhabi if anyone is desparate.
