The following article apeared in the Oct edition of Banzai magazine

At the Japanese launch of the 350Z, Nissan previewed a racing version of the new model, devised and built by Nismo. The car's being developed for GT races both in Japan and abroad, begining tentatively from next season. This will include participation in the GT300 class events of the All-Japan Grand Touring Championship. Its first test proper is earmarked for this September and the first race in 2003. We have been told to expect the car at the next 24 heures du Mans in France

Heard nothing this side but a short article hoping that it would appear at Le Mans. There is a long list of teams wanting to participate at GT level and Nissan would have to compete against the Porsches which boringly go round and round without fault.
I ll be there next year anyway to report in.
