Do-able but almost everything will have to be changed, actually the mind boggles kinda  Complet electrics and ecu for a start, then start looking at drive train, mounts, exhaust, fuel system, etc !

Engine and box as a pair. Engine wiring loom and ECU will extract in one piece, but there will be numerous cross connections to the car for various switched and unswitched power supplies, tacho drive, fuel pump control etc. Nothing insurmountable.
Z32 has radiator electric fan control and also has an input from an electronic speedo.
Check a Z32 wiring diagram for the details of the EFI harness plug F2 connection to main harness plug M64 - I think this will give a simple way to hook up all the external devices and power supplies. The Z31 has an equivalent plug interface between ECU loom and car just above the ECU location in the passenger footwell...
Custom propshaft, custom rear crossmember / mount. Front mounts may adapt from one or other engine (or a combination of both) as the blocks share a common heritage.
It's been done in a 260Z, so should be a piece of cake in a Z31!

The z31 came with a vg30de from factory at one point. The 300zr is a factory z31 with a non turbo z32 engine. So not only will a vg30dett in a z31 be possible, it existed on the showroom floors.
Your best buying a donor z32. I would suggest checking out hybridZ sure some one on there will have done it.
Quick question though, not a normal one for me. But why? If it's for tuning and power reasons the effort may not be worth it. Yes that's right, I did just say that. The Americans are very successful tuning the vg30e, very.
The 12v format allows plenty of bottom end grunt and the single turbo format keeps costings down. One turbo, one intercooler half the induction piping... These are reasons why people convert vg30dett's to single turbo.
What do you want to achieve?

it was somethink I fancied doing I hadn't seen one done before some think to play with im half way engine is in and is the gear box im at the wiring now and converting to a single turbo that might be an idea as the drivers side turbo hits the streering shaft

If you can sort the manifolds it's probably a cheap way to 500hp check out Anthonyd's from sfs single turbo build.
