My fault Pete, I thought you were going to post some pics of Steves engine being built along with a bit of 'thought' about why he's done the things hes done along with the changes old from new, hence the 'rebuild - refresh' in the title. Not 'Picture of engine out, picture of engine in'.

The only difference in spec was explained in my very first post and also the reason why we did it.
"The new pistons will also have fly cuts to allow for a more agressive cam timing this time."

Everything else was on a "replace if worn"basis and hardly worth more than a couple of pics and sentences.
All the basic processes are outlined in the Honsovitz "How to Modify" book, there is no value or interest in repeating all that stuff on my post
Im never going to post publicly all the exact numbers and measurements for stuff that we consider "IPR"
Likewise with costs ......
However when questions were asked about oil/dizzy drive and water pump I have answered them in a polite manner with photos to back it up.
So Im sorry if the thread has disappointed you or others but it is what it is. In my defence I have had some positive feedback as well.
So just bear with me till the end which isnt far away now!!

Hoooray! Its alive.
New fuel rail O rings now fitted....no leaks.
Steve pressed the "Start" button and the engine fired.
Almost instant oil pressure and my engine bay inspection didnt fine any leaks.
Time to get the bonnet on and get rid of it from my garage.
Time to move on...................................................DSCF7318.JPG
