Now this is the proper ' pimpmobile ' experience :D
I would have thought twice before buying any car with this interior and would understand the Mrs. concern  ( With prior apologies to Andy Minto and any other red interior drivers out there )

Now you see, I love that over the brown - great in a silver car I saw last year for which I hunkered.
The only thing I don't like about the turbos are the seats - not as cute and sportive as the normal 2-seater versions.

What is the gold script saying abouve the aircon button please ?

All 2 seaters have those seats since 82

Well if it's good enough for Paul Newman ;)

Just arrived from sunny CA and definitely a keeper for the Datsun collection, smitten.

This is the car to make sceptics revise their opinion on the ZX. Yes, put on a bit of spread and not as pretty as the clean lined earlier 240Z but the 2 seater is still a striking looking car and with 180bhp quick enough to see off any factory standard Z from earlier years.

1982 2 seater 280ZX Turbo T Top, just two owners and 50k miles from new

0-60 in 7 secs in comfort with refinements, what's not to like ?

Timewarp condition. All original paint and looks exactly as it did when left the factory.

Perfect for European touring :driving: although slight problem as Mrs.Vega comments on first sight were less complimentary 'pimpmobile' (bit harsh as not even the red velour and dash version) and 'poo brown' spring to mind followed by you'll be going on your own - result there then

OK, so the gold wheel arch trim may be just a step too far but that aside, I love this car.

Lovely one!

I have the same but silver, black interior, grey seats and manual T5, fully original and 110000miles
And love it :)
I added Tokico HP and Eibach spring to match with the powertrain.

It is under body restoration to be as perfect as yours.

Thanks Sylv

The last two years of production 82/83 model years had factory uprated brakes and suspension to match the extra power although not a fan of big arch gaps so lowered would look better. I have Tokico/Eibachs on my other Zs and thought about same for this one but decided to keep it 100% stock for now.

I just found 280ZX Turbo ex-1982 Las Vegas F1 Pace Car for sale.
Quite expensive but very tempting............
Will start another thread

I either do not want to modify it because it is matching numbers and fully original.

But suspensions were scary compared to how fast can go a zxt.

With tokico/eibach combo, this is another car!
This is how Nissan should have provided it.

Brakes are also rubbish... especially because good front pads are hard to find.
I have sourced carbotech... that should brake now!

Brown is coming back in, period correct, be bold, a trend setter, not a follower :p To be honest it looked more bronze in Cali sunshine as you can see, picks up sparkle in paint finish, back in gloomy UK it is brown.

I don't mind the brown, but your comment above made in laugh, good ol' UK weather eh?

Wait until the sun hits it again next summer ... looks a lovely car, really nice (and rare).

Hi, Red leather interiors are as rare as hens teeth. I think that only 500 Aniversary Editions had it so mine is probably a good copy (and Sean D has seen it)

Not only seen it but sniffed and tasted it and Andy's hospitality didn't stop there.

Yes,
It is off the road at the moment. New floor pan fitted and new panels replacing any rusted ones. The fibre glass body kit has been replaced by hand rolled steel parts. Leather interior is going to be properly refurbished by a leather specialist. Should come out looking and smelling like a brand new car. Just not sure what to do about the carpet.
