280zx Steering rack securing clamps

Hey all, I am looking to swap over from the recirc ball power steering steering to rack and pinion. I have the parts except for the two clamps that hold the rack and pinion steering rack onto the crossmember. I can get a couple made up but just wanted to see if someone had any lying around - marked up on photo. Thanks

I will have a look, but I think they might have been a victim of the garage de-clutter. Do you have a steering column to match, your original one wont fit.

Ah I didn’t realise the column needs to change also. Assumed I could adapt to the rack somehow! Thanks for pointing that out and thanks for checking for the bits huw!

Hi Huw, looks like I only need the extension bit (labelled “280zx piece” in photo) which seems to have come with the spare rack! Column seems the same other than that. Is that what you mean?

Hiya. From memory the steering column was too short. There is a difference in length between the steering column for powered rack and the column for the recirc ball set up. Its not that much of a difference but enough not to be able to connect the joint on the extension.
