On the way back from Simply Japanese and an uneventful trip from Bristol the Radio kept cutting out when the windows were operated associated with an occasional engine hunt.
As we were discussing what it could be the offside rear blew on a dual carriageway near Warminster and thoughts went elsewhere.
Spare fitted ok but the car did not start, totally flat battery.
Breakdown called who confirmed no charge to battery, further investigation showed the alternator belt loose but at the range of adjustment.
Finally we find no bottom location bolts fitted, front or back on engine bracket, which explains all the problems but not why the alternator adjustment was at max?

SO MY QUESITONS ARE:
Does anyone know the size of the 2 bottom bolts M8? or M10? by I suspect 25mm.
Does anyone know correct size of fan belt?
Any help will be appreciated, car now sat in garage awaiting new tyres all round once I can get this little issue fixed
