Just Sold my Rickenbacker 4001s 1978 in white £2500 to a guitarist who plays a bit of bass,profit of £1900 in 10 years.Precision,good bass,Wal is good,status bass ,loadsa money,I usually use a status or Yamaha bass,all 5 or 6 string

I thought we were talking about cars, Zs specifically and then all the wannabes bleat on about how they can strum along, even Chris comes back out to play...I don't care about guitars on a Z forum - I'm just wondering why YOU don't go impressing the Z register with guitar talk - you'd last how long by yourself there ?:p

My point is old chap no one really cares about the little thingy's that are different on some Zeds,I never started on guitars,not guilty,now I'm going for a walk

Please, pretty please with bells and pink ribbons on, will you send me a signed photo of you with this slogan written on it? If you could stretch to it, maybe wearing a deerstalker hat and smoking a pipe? The pipe doesn't have to be lit.

I want to frame it and hang it on the wall in my downstairs toilet.

Oh yes, a Rickenbacker 4001 - now that is a Bass classic, art, a thing of real beauty and desire, like a Z really, so there is relevance the forum ;)

Thunderfingers the Ox himself had one........ the finest Bass Player ever to have walked this Earth,
Playing on ' Won't Get Fooled Again ' is pure poetry, magical, genius, a classic rock masterpiece....:bow:

In looking for for YouTube footage can't find any of him playing the 4001 on that track so maybe he only only played it in the earlier Who days when they were more a 'mod' band. Course he had the Status Graphites later on......

Transcribed that song many moons ago,slowed it down,filtered out all the other instruments and found one bum note

I remember an interview with Rick Parfitt from Status Quo who said he has his and hers toilets at his Surrey mansion as he didn't want to ' ruin the romance '

Same thing with Mrs.Albrecht eh ? :rofl:

We've got 3 bogs in our house and imallowed to use just one of em,I think it's because she accuses me of not having a good aim,I blame the loss of sight in one eye or the bog opening being too small,but she ain't having it

Yes but you frenchies just have holes in the ground and a squat platform n'est pas ? Actually I was most disappointed on my latest french trip that I didn't manage to encounter any of those, are they going out of fashion these days ?

Are those micro cars like those ligiers that people who have been banned from driving for drink driving offences etc are still allowed to drive ? Sit a t 25mph as mobile road blocks winding everyone up ?

Here, they're called Turkish toilets and you'll still find them on the m-ways - the'aires de répos' and not 'aires de service' but you're too posh I guess ! Shame as they are the most hygenic of all public toilets and osteopaths tell us that we're less likely to strain a hernia whilst working with gravity !
