Thanks chaps.

Just fitted one to my wifes' 280Z (manifold, line and silencer) and from this summer will be offering twin downpipes from existing manifolds to join to my lines.

At the moment due to some unfortunate circumstances, I've only exhaust lines and silencers in stock - the rest will arrive in early August.

Hi all, relatively new here!

Any recommendations for a 280z exhaust system either with manifold or without.

Thanks in advance!

Just remember to check that its designed for a 280z, there's a few people who get caught out by not doing some simple research, especially if ordering from overseas.

Is the one you fitted to your Wife's 280 the "fast road" header Sean???
Hi Mike.

Yes. I wanted to compare it to my Street-Sport previously fitted to a friends' similar 280Z.

On a stock engine as both are, the difference was mininal - 2-3hp from the Street at max revs with a little more low-end torque from the Street too. Minimal really but the Fast-Road costs less whereas the Street will better follow any later big mods.

can you post the Dyno curves up to see where the 2-3bhp comes from? does the other make for a better midrange?

I can't post both dyno curves 'cos the Fast-Road was tested in-between other cars, cash-in-hand no graph ! When I get the opportunity, I'll have it tested here locally with a graph. It made (flywheel) 158.6ch and 245Nm.

I've since swapped the baffled rear silencer for an expansion type but I wouldn't expect that to make a dramatic difference.

Stock, or not?

A few extra parameters would be a help. Has the car still got a catalytic converter? If so, do you want to keep it? De-catting a car has a whole new level of implications these days.

I didn’t know they had a cat,That’s two things I’ve learnt this week, obviously for the emissions in the US

Why would I want a Facebook account ?

Well, indeed.

But.... If you had a Facebook account you would sometimes see people in Z-related groups talking about exhausts with fitment issues.

The universally perfect-fitting aftermarket exhaust system is a pipedream (see what I did there?).

Only Bovril and The Pope are infallible.
