Quick update on slow progress...
I’ve been refitting the back end of the car over the last couple of weekends but as nothing is quite standard everything has thrown up it own set of issues. The R200 diff is converted to a helical LSD, this came with the later Nissan 2x3 output flange so I’ve machined adaptors that will allow a CV conversion which will be stronger also. This lot has been a bit of a pain to fit.
Next up was the uprights with a 200sx disc conversion and BC coil overs, more issues, the drop on the BCs has meant that hand brake cable holding arms on the calipers strike the original brake pipe brackets. A quick check on the forum and Atomman said I wasn’t the only one with this problem, which at least confirms I’ve not done something stupid!. Problem solved with a bit hammer time! In doing this I’ve now come up with perfect handbrake cable routing which from the forums always seems to be a bugbear of the 240z disc conversions.

Wow! That is delicious!! How will you have the heart to drive that car!? The mere sight of a puddle would rise my heart rate!! Looking coward to seeing this beast in the flesh!

More progress on the handbrake cable linkages, I thought it was all sorted once I’d adjusted the cable arms. I’d got a good cable routing sorted but when tested it became apparent that the drum handbrake requires far less cable pull to operate than a disc one, consequently it used all the handbrake movement to operate the new disc brake, not ideal. I’ve created an extended arm that doubles the cable pull without having to chop anything on the original stuff, see pics. Finally have (I think) a working handbrake.
Today I fitted the new roof headlining, what a bitch of a job! I found a few good pointers on the internet and the end result is great.

More steady progress, as posted elsewhere on here I’ve been test fitting the suspension with a trial fit scrap tyre just to check clearances.
Also dropped back onto my Z32 front brake project now I have a wheel to trial things under. Using a wilwood 298mm disc and a dummy 10mm spacer has given a great result with reasonable clearance all round under a 16” it would also fit under a 15”.
I’m blacking out the chrome on the car as part of my build so this evening I had a play with 3M wrap (possibly instead of paint), results are good and assuming it doesn’t ever lift it’s a good way to mod the trim, going to try the chrome gutters and door handles next.

Looks great - but that tyre looks awfully close to the rear arch

Liking the look of the blacked out quarter light trims - looking forward to seeing them in situ

Definitely love the green you picked.

I assume that you were just checking clearance in that photo and thats not your planned ride height?

The 1st photo shows intended ride height which is prob about 40mm lower than standard. 2nd pic was just a check to see how far things would go before something rubs.

Finished the z32 brakes conversion today, just need to get it all anodised now. Weight saving over original choice vented discs is massive.
Original (Honda CR-V) disc 7.5kg
Wilwood disc 2.4kg
The entire hub assembly incl disc bell and disc is lighter than the old disc!

Who made the brackets up for you? I'm very interested in having z32 front brakes on mine as I'll be having z32 rears with my apex set up.

They’re home made, I made a sanding drum for my bench pillar drill to enable me to cut the profile after I’d rough cut them with a jigsaw.

Quick update on more steady progress, I’ve been fitting the fixed glass such as rear 1/4s with the frames which I’d previously wrapped and also the windscreen. I’ve never done a windscreen before, only smaller glass side windows, and found it quite a stressful job, i was quite nervous that something wouldn’t quite fit right what with new glass from Ricky Evans, Precision Rubbers seals and the roof that I’d replaced, that’s a load of areas for something to be not quite right! Very impressed with both glass and seals fitted like a glove and tucked tight and neat into all frame corners.
