Got a few things to sort on this, main one is my pass side engine mount poly bushing has failed, not completely but enough to allow the engine to lean that way and now the downpipe is touching the chassis. I have a new one on the way, I think its the spacer I made that caused it to fail so I'll re-design a new one that bigger to spread the load more.

Once that's fitted and I can drive it again I've got to sort:

Indicators

Wheel Wobble

Way to add more adjustment to the steering arms.

Diff leaking some oil, think I need to reapply gasket maker, might also be spitting a bit of oil out the breather so I will extend the breather with a pipe.

Some slight oil leaks from the sump, think I'll remove and reapply gasket maker.

Head drain hose needs replaced as it got burned through by touching the exhaust, need to route it differently.

Rattle from rear pass side needs checked

Brakes need skimmed - have never been true since fitting, common issues with wilwood discs.

Got to get speedo working as I've failed to get it working taking a feed from the ECU.

That's going to keep me busy for a while.

What mounts did you use as my n/s McKinney mount also failed
Have just had 2 new poly mounts with int reinforceing made up over here which should do the trick

Yeah, same, McKinney, were yours the red ones?

Sounds like I'll need to do the same as you, photos and details would be great if you don't mind Wyn.

Sounds the same as mine just fell apart. Looked like the bolt n washer was just bonded to the poly mount instead of being built into it.
tbh about as **** an idea as you could make imo, esp for a engine mount !

Anyways I got my replacement mounts custom made by these guys in the UK ..
They may even remember as they was only made about a month ago if that

www.duraflex.co

Mark/Stuart was more then helpful and had them delivered in under a week!
Think it was £45 all in for the pair inc del, which was excellent considering they made them to order and internally braced them !
On the car now but going by memory I think I went for
M10x30mm fixings which gives plenty of thread to play with
28mm high - sump just clears rack so poss could be higher or pack out accordingly
70mm wide - plenty of room around them
They also made them with a firmer material when I mentioned the power output to be used with :D
As said very helpful guys so would deffo recommend them

Great, thanks Wyn, I'll contact them right away, just wish I'd found out sooner as I just paid £90 shipped for a replacement pair from America.

I run a spacer on mine to raise the height at the turbo side and give me more room for piping, they should be able to build these the right height without the spacer so that's great.

Guess you haven't used them yet but they can only be better.

tbh I was quoted the same but with duty on top the prices get even sillier, esp when you consider they should have made them right in the first place.
That's the main reason I went elsewhere as I didn't like the idea of paying twice for someone's else bad design.
No I haven't used the new mounts yet other then fitting them but as they are internally braced they should be miles better !
Don't forget they can also make them to your requirements so if you need them a little taller or wider it isn't a problem for them
oh btw they also give you the option of colour when your order your new mounts :D
As shown I went for their fast red

I am in a rush to get the car running again or I would have looked first before ordering.

Its great that they can make them to my requirements as I'll no longer have to run the spacer and I can get them in black. Was just trying to work out the height the ones I have are but its hard when they are being compressed.

I was just looking at your power graph from your last engine setup, very interesting to compare with mine and see the differences which will mainly result from twin turbos compared to the single. You have about 110hp more than me but I have more than you up to 6000rpm and then yours shoots off. Also at 4k I have 480lbft compared to your 250 and my power curve is smooth whereas yours shoots off when your turbo starts working properly. It would be very interesting to compare them on the drag strip and see how far behind mine is as given we'll both be revving to 8 or so on the strip and your has a lot more power between 6 and 8 then I can't see me keeping up.

Things have all changed again now Ian
Time will tell what the figures read when shes finally all back up and on the rd, but will update my thread accordingly

Yes, big change for you, you'll have a mountain more torque now compared to before and undoubtedly a fair bit more power.

I was really interested to compare twin turbo to single on similar sized engines, no point comparing my 2.6 to your 3l.

To simplify things, it's the area under the curve that matters rev band your running during the run. The peak power only helps for a short period of time. Although I have nowhere near your power at least he high end I probably have more in the midrange from for a longer period of time during the run.

I'll not be doing much drag racing (lack of time at home rather than by choice) but I'm thinking my power curve looks good for it, I have 400hp & 490lbft by 4250rpm and its just climbs smoothly from there until it starts to drop @ 6700rpm. Plus no turbo lag to speak of.

Been working my way through the little jobs that needed done to complete this. Brake skim, better brake pads in rear, minor oil leaks sorted, oil change and so on.

Also finally got my broken mount bush replaced, hopefully this stronger one lasts:

Spent two days detailing her, clay, two stage polish, sealant and wax, looks great but I haven't got any good photos yet. I finally got my speedo working yesterday and set it with a GPS so its spot on accurate (not like the one in my Civic). Left it with the auto electrician today in the hope he can get my indicators working again so its MOT ready.

My custom plaque arrived, its not quite as nice as I'd like but it will do for now.

Looks good fitted imo, just on with blu-tack here, will get it riveted on properly.

Man, that's one great looking 260z. Is that a custom colour or is it COLOR NO. 307 (which is the original colour of my 260z which has been painted black)?

Thanks, It was meant to be 307, however it isn't its darker than 307, so I actually have no idea what it is unfortunately.

Got some new plates made up today, just need a to get a bracket made to mount the front one:

Wow, its been a while since I've updated here, I'll need to put that on the to do list.

Yeah, thats my girl, not the best feature ever, but better than nothing. Paddy did what he could with the time he had which was very limited. If it was a full feature rather than a spotlight I'm sure the photos would be great.
