Hi Si,
Glad you've got a 260Z 2+2 welcome aboard. I have seen pics in your gallery & I think you have done well. Please, DONT drill your new K & N's.
What would you say is the noticable difference, between your 260z
& the current 2+2, & which gives your more pleasure & satisfaction?
DJZ 60.

Hi mate....have blocked off the tubes for the moment...heres my thoughts so far:

The 2+2 with its SU's are much smoother than the 2 seater with its triples, though a bit less powerful...much better for an everyday car.

Its harder to park in my garage!!!...(is it 11" longer?)

I can get lots in the back...good news..

Though the shape is different its not 'worse'..just different.

Just as many people stare at it..

To be honest I havent had it long enogh to really argue the toss, but most classic cars look friggin great to me....positive thinking and all that...

off for a hangover tablet...Si!

Great, glad you like it!, nothing like enjoying your Z's. make the most
before the winter gloom, The 2+2's a bit heavier but apart from that
when she's tuned up she's not that much slower......DJZ 60.

Average price for a new saloon 12-15,000grand (not Renault's,Peaugot's 0r
shitreon's) So what you get at a BARGAIN price is a car that house's:
The Wife.
The Mistress.
A Guitar.
& a crate of beer. DJZ 60.

No power steering, no airco, no Bose stereo system, no ESP, no ABS and after 15 miles in the back you lose the mistress with a bad back and the wifes' window sticks whilst it's raining so all that's left is your guitar and the crate of beer that you could have enjoyed sitting in the garage, strumming whilst playing the blues 'cos you haven't a 240 like mine !

reminds me, I was in Bordeuax Thursday night, arrived at the restaurant at 23:30, got served, left and saw two whores, the next morning, after having dropped a friend of at the station at 07:15, I saw the same two on the same corner - that's what I call dedication and after service !

You are what the French call 'a little player' have you compared our post counts recently :) ?

Anyway.....I have had a non-eventful winter as regarding my 2+2,No paint
tins have fallen on it, no hit & run,no fire, not even the dreaded pigeon
droppings. It runs great, sounds great, & looks great......
There you have it...........................DJZ 60.

Hello Mr.Dezart.
Thank you for your enquiry. The answer to you question Is: No! The
reason being: I first, have to take the front windscreen out, replacing the rubber seal &
chrome trim components, secondly I have to take the tailgate rear screen out,& do the same. Once I have tackled, attempted & completed these areas of re-chroming,I can then move on to the simpler bits like quarter glass, bumpers & wiper's & so forth.
It seems, such a burden these days to get off of my big'n'broad Xtra large backside
that I cannot for the likes of it,find the enthusiasm & dedication in committing myself to
such a time consuming burden.
Forget re-chroming, I've not even started her up,down or sideways,& have
been on Ebay talking to birds across the old Atlantic Ocean.
I trust, this has fulfilled your quest, for any progress on the DJ's car.
yours sincerly
Dave Jarman.
