240z vs 260z Drivers Door Glass Differences

Hi,

I am after a drivers door glass for a 1972 240z, managed to locate a 260z one.

Does anyone know if they are the same/interchangeable?

I'm pretty sure they're the same. I had a 72 240 one and a 74 260 one out together for a cleanup recently and they looked the same.
I may even have put the 240 one back in the 260. I can check if you like?

Later 260z 77/78 glass am sure is different

I think the early 260 (pre lock change) is essentially a 240z, with different rear light panel, body wise. It's the later 260/280 that differ a lot.

I have a spare window for a 240Z if you’re desperate. Rather keep it though as you never know but would help a forum member out over the dust at the garage..!
