I've just had a read through the thread, its a seriously cool car. I've always loved the racer look on S30's!

It's a shame about the photobucket changes as it has killed of so many good threads and taken away so much of the content, it would have been great to have seen more.

I don't know why but I always imagined the 'Valuations Officer' to be a stickler for originality, how wrong I was! :EXTRAlol:Awesome build, I look forward to hearing it's on the road.

Small update, heated front windscreen fitted which requires 2 relays as the windscreen has 2 elements left and right. Battery isolation switch fitted, electrics almost finished.one problem with using aftermarket gauges is that they don't always match upto the factory senders, so I have changed fuel gauge to match my fuel sender and I am waiting on a matched sender for my water temperature gauge. All my gauges are Autometer.Started the process of registration which looks harder than it is but it does not help that I imported the car in 2003 and the system has changed since then, it was a lot easier in the old days !!!!! Luckily I kept a lot of paperwork.

Finally got it on the road today after sorting out insurance etc. Just a short trip just to make sure everything thing is doing what it should be doing. Just need to get the tracking done, A tyre valve tightened as it is leaking air so tyre off job. Couple of small wiring jobs, front strut brace to fit, the rest of the roll cage to paint and fit. Not much in the grand scheme of things .

The stance on your arched road car is perfect. Can I ask what size your wheels and tyres are?
The road car is my mates, I will get the spec for you and let you know.

I know what you mean, the other car makes mine look like a monster truck but it will be lowered once I get sorted.
The two cars look a different size. Nice job Moggy.

I have 11 inch clearance to the ground at the lowest point of the fuel tank on a lowered car. It has an aftermarket fuel sender but would be best if you use a Datsun one as it might fit the existing mgb one. I modified the mgb sender unit to remove the sender part and put in a return for fuel. Being a new tank you could weld in a feed and return pipe fittings
