Hello all, I’m new to the site, just purchased my Z31, however she has a misfire, have done all the usual check and have narrowed the fault down to one of the fuel injectors, however I’m having trouble sourcing one here in the UK. Need one to get her back on the road. Looking for new or a place that can refurbish or alternative parts that fit!

The Genuine Number is 1660016E12, my car is a 1988 3.0 litre Non Turbo Z31. Is there anyone out there that can help ! Many Thanks in advance

Hello,

I’ve built the engine back up, still mis firing in that cylinder ! Have previously ensured compression and spark are ok. Seem to have an issue with resistance in the loom, have put new wires and plug in still faulting. Have used and oscilloscope tonight found Ecu pulsing as it should. Have find other 5 old injectors have around 2.7 to 3 ohms across the pins and the new injector has 14ohms, I haven’t swapped it over to anothe cylinder yet to see if the fault moves but has anyone had any experience with this and no the exact figures my service manual has no resistance figures ?

it looks like there are Z31 ecus for low impedance and ecus for high impedence.
might be worth researching which ecu. you have - maybe its been swapped or?

I don’t believe the ECU has been swapped,

My suspicion being the new injector is of the wrong spec, I haven’t swapped into another cylinder yet to prove my theory, I see on the 87 car there is another option injector I have contacted the firm to check there resistance reading on there one and will go from there.

Bummer - that's the downside with Rockauto - returns are often not worth the effort if they've made a mistake.

see how you get on if you get stuck i may possibly have a set of NA injectors in my spare parts im not 100% sure if i still have them, but if i do and you needed one you could get it ultrasonically cleaned
