Interesting how the video show a 'racing-driver' in a tan interior and where's the front spoiler gone ?

IF this is the 'pace' car then I reckon it will be worth about twice that of a similar but ordinary turbo. What do you think Chris?

Because of the difference in value you would need some strong evidence to prove it's provenance. Is there anything available?

Plus as Sean has said it needs the front spoiler.

It looks a different colour to the one in the YouTube video advert for the Turbo if that is also supposed to be the pace car ?

Dunno if anything available to prove provenance - I would want something for sure if paying $20k+. Not sure you can quantify how much of a premium over standard you would pay for such a car. Car has just 35k miles on it and original paint so would be knocking on $14/15k without provenance. Would be cool to own though ?

Thanks Mike, that is a rare and interesting 280 model ZX-R.
Built 1000 of them just so they could holmologate the spoiler for use in race series
Looks a bit OTT for road use though.

A bit like the way oversized IMSA spoiler that someone had welded :eek: on the the rear of my otherwise ' unspoiled ' 37k mile Z which meant I had to repaint it after taking it off :(

Have asked him for evidence that this is the actual pace car.

Thanks for that Steve, makes sense. It even has different colour scheme than the one in the Datsun sales video which has orange side decals not red and the front spoiler is definitely missing.

Interesting to see what reply (if any) I get on question of provenance then ;)

Update: no reply from seller when asked for evidence/proof this is actual pace car, says it all, caveat emptor.
