My TVR Chimaera 4.0 had the Rover lump and it was a lovely engine (as was the whole car).

I'd have another tomorrow if I had the space.

The one in my Range Rover Classic only 135bhp :(

That's to slow you down into the corners....!

I reckon Riddler secretly wants a decent 280Z having sold his 260 so well leaving the money in the bank to keep the old crock Rover going on the road.

I don't think anyone can seriously compare the Rover lump with TVR's in-house straight six. Theres nothing to compare apart from the fact they're both engines.

We know all that - it's based on a 'brick', back in the '60s 'cos the UK's big engine was shyte as well as being too heavy !

Well, whatever. As someone who speaks from the position of owning AND driving one, it sounds fantastic, pulls like a train in every gear, is super smooth and I absolutely love it. So there!

Had two, a 3.5 for 2x weeks and a 2000 TC which was nicer imho.

The 2000 tc is only a tad slower than the v8 ,I've had five p6 s,love em,still not gone dilly prices yet,found the owners club hard work trying to get a conversation going so didn't bother anymore
