As I approach 75 years of age the time has come to appoint the next guardian for my Datsun 240Z.
A 1973 genuine RHD UK model, reputedly rebuilt by Fourways Engineering some time ago, it retains an air of originality. Engine rebuilt about 3 years ago with fast road cam, electronic ignition (from a 280Z) and polished head if gives smooth economical performance. Coilovers and 15” Compmotive wheels with new tyres this year. Quaife LSD. Front and rear strut braces. Seating upgraded to leather Recaros in black with green insets, which are supremely comfortable, and match the general appearance of the car. Momo steering wheel. Inertia reel seat belts.
The original seats and steering wheel come with the car, along with a comprehensive selection of rare spares.
Previous owner hill climbed and sprinted the car. It still holds class records for hill climbing (unlikely to be beaten - they changed the course!)
Agreed insurance value is £32,500 (ClassicLine)
