............and you are right about the humour and banter, some on here don’t know the meaning of the word, it never use to be like that................

Paul, you mention that in a lot of your posts i.e. 'the good old days'. It's also a personal attack on members.

What period are you thinking of?

I reckon you are comparing the face-to-face monthly meetings we used to have (many in pubs) with the internet/keyboard era. Humour, sarcasm etc can get mis-interpreted on text exchanges. Things are different now but it's not the Clubs fault, face-to-face we are the same people.

Franky that made me chuckle
IMHO A bit more humour is needed at this time
Everybody is bored with what is happening at this time and having a laugh and a joke about things lifts the majority of peoples moral and mental state
Its nice to be nice to others and in doing so most feel better for doing it

People are just too sensitive these days, the Millenial virus is spreading to us oldies.

I fully expect to be the butt of jokes and criticism, It's part of life. If I'm ever genuinely offended you'll soon know

So come on everyone, chill

More polite fun needed More polite banter needed
Sometimes everything on here is taken to seriously
But most important of all should be everybody being happy being here
Maybe a bit less slagging others off because you disagree with them and having sly digs at others because maybe there are old disagreements from the past
The place should be Fun Fun Fun and Joy to visit

Paul (status) we are now way off-topic on this Thread but you have been 'slagging this Club off' for as long as I can remember (at least 10 years). During that time we have had many changes of committee. For many years you repeatedly told people on here that 'The Register' was the place to be and that you were off there asap.

I don't really know what you expect when you openly criticise the actions of people who run this Club for the benefit of others and try to keep content civil.

Well i'm thinking my car wont be selling now, no idea why. Just a hunch ;) Looks like i may have sold my B310 and ive put my Elise project on hold (its been 4 years so another few months wont hurt)

So most likely in the new year I'll be selling the engine, box, exhaust and 6 branch manifold. So i can install my 2.1 SR20DET and 6 speed box. I'll try to make sure the advert is ZClub friendly and i'll not post on a friends social media.

Something that may or may not interest the forum is. I have also dropped a spare dash off in Wales to the man who made me a digital dash for my Elise and works on the CAR SOS program. Idea is 2 x 4" LCD Displays for the Tacho and Speed0 and 3 x2.4" for the centre gauges (sizes to be confirmed). This will "mimic" the original dials, but will be able to have Apple Play / Android Auto so SAT NAV in the middle on the tacho and music in the speedo etc. It will then have a few options for different graphics for say track and to show the yoofs at macdonalds. It also has a canbus connect to anything on the ECU will be able to be displayed.

Elise Dash is here

I would be interested in knowing which business this is, I was thinking of replacing my speedo with a digital screen but lack the technical knowhow to make it look half decent lol.

DJ - if the price is right, all things including cars, will sell. I don't think the comments on here are unduly negative they're just as others (maybe potential buyers, see it). These cars don't come up for sale all that often so any that do are discussed, for better or worse - in the old days via people meeting up - but nowadays instantly online - it's the way of the world now unfortunately. Nothing should be perceived as personal - it's the car that is being talked about.

All comments are personal opinion - in the modern age you get to hear them - the good and the bad. But the car's not selling because it's what it is - it's the price (for what it is) ... trying to be constructive. :)

I think it would sell because I reckon it's got a good body. Nice wheels and chrome bumpers would 'pick it up' - it's a bit dull on pics tbh.

If you really wanted to sell it you could but not for £27k.

Always happy to see and hear constructive critism and for those with the your wrong, its deceit, you dont know what you doing opinions, i have found flaws opinion. the above is how to state you dont agree. Please take note and think before you type.

Company is GARW

https://garw.co/

On the front page is an option to state what car you would like to see, more people state Datsun 240/260/280z the quicker it will get done.

However this is a good 6 months to a year away, the 4" dials are made and we have already test fit them but daisy chaining them up to all work together, plus getting them to work with the std inputs will take a while

go to 2:12 to see the mustang dash he has done.......

You're not taking any ownership of the fall-out resulting from the way this is being sold then?

It is being advertised by somebody of Facebook who isn't you, you're commenting on that sales ad as though you are not involved, and you posted here under a pseudonym making comments about the car and owner - again - as though you are not connected.

That's all very well when it is a little banter between mates who know the scenario, but you're not selling it to your mates are you? To potential buyers looking in from the outside it is unlikely to inspire confidence. And confidence is what you need when spending that much money on a modified classic car.

The plan discussed would be options to be able to change 1, 2, 3, 4 or all 5 "clocks" as you need one master and then the rest can be daisy chained together. Issue at present is cost, but he is looking into this, so you could buy 2 main ones then the other 3 at a later date.

My Elise dash is £695, but its one screen, the complete Datsun 240z could be 3 or 4 times this........

The mustang dash is something else, i almost thought about buying one just for the dash

I can’t believe are people on forums are using pseudonyms ?

I figured you knew so much- as you really were the original designer of the 240z. .....
