Even the poorly kept and badly out of date 'Register' shows, Grahams car (260Z), Ged 220N (260Z 2+2) and SHA 404R (260Z 2+2)...

Register No: SS00007 - YOA774T - is a 1979 260z

"Originally owned by Kevin Irons, an HSCC Racer "
Kevin has never owned this car :leaving: never raced 260's in the HSCC.

Confused with CBH 567K.

apologies. Looks to be just the Kevin irons built and Sam branded ones

It includes the two 260's (LJO 880S, CAB 139N) built with Spike also.

The car mentioned was registered on the 29th of January 1979 though...

And my mid-1970 production Fairlady Z-L was first registered in the UK on a 'W' suffix plate. I shan't be calling it a '1980 Fairlady Z-L'.

Registration date isn't the same as production date.

so those two are pre Kevin irons ones? Why are the Kevin irons ones not considered ‘proper’ ones by the register?

Only one man has the answer to that....

So you think it being described as a "1979 260Z" is correct then?

260z wasn't eligible for entry in the HSCC classes Kevin raced in.

Just pointing the register has... Inaccuracies.

so as far as the ‘register’ goes, they’re just cars with matching paint jobs?

imagine if there had been a defined ‘spec’ and parts lists, together with an accurate/unmuddled/Honest historical list of what cars and what etc. Might all be viewed in a different light.
