Just been along for a look at the car and it is a thing of beauty. If I had the money it would be sitting in my garage now. Can anyone point me at an article that explains the differences between a Samuri and a normal car ???? Looking at the car I would guess it's a 25k car plus 10k just because it's a Samuri ???

however from what I can work out there's no set spec, for any part of the car.
I already quoted you pages 230/1 from Spikes' bible.
Don't look for definitives leaving an old shed on Silverstone circuit.
I'm sure parts were what could be found on the day.
Engine 'spec' is don't touch the bottom end just the head and add a cam and carbs.
Paint ? You know the answer.

And some cars specced at the time are no longer so specced - does that make them less of a Samuri - should there be a price list of original Sams and another for now modded Sams ?
"Samuri's" were never an "official" car, they were a small quantity of ad hoc modified cars done in a large shed near Northampton in the 70's by amoungst others a guy who now lives in spain
Some had triple webers some didnt, some had modified suspension and others didnt, as Sean implied, its whatever parts were available on a shelf or elsewhere
No real formula or logic, other than some like to over hype the historical relevance associated with them.
There were a very small handfull (3 or 4) of samuri cars such as Big Sam, the FFA's LAL etc that had some race provenance or association and as such have some interest but the rest were mildly enhanced (50 or so hp extra) paint jobs.
With you Sean baby it's got too boring to care now
