    I tried that too, only comes out so far then is held by the heater control cables which you can't get to, even when the radio is removed. Gave up

    Really annoys me when I go to a show and someone inevitably says "these were rust buckets weren't they" Having been in the motor trade for over 50 years I can't really think of a car from the 70's that didn't rust

    After about 6 months finally got round to it! Couldn't understand why it lost power when the heater was connected, it turns out it was dirty contacts in the HRW switch, took it apart, cleaned everything up and, hey presto, now works fine

    Just had the headlamp relay conversion carried out on my 240Z and the difference is unbelievable. I had this done to take the load off the switch but had read that this also resulted in more power to the lights but didn't realise how much. I have owned the car for 6 years and have always...

    Pretty sure it's the switch. There is a relay conversion (somewhere on here) which takes the load off the switch and also gives full voltage to the lights. Well worth doing as switches are no longer available new
