Classic car show at Popham airfield - 7th August

Wondered whether there might be any club members popping down to Winchester for the above event next weekend? I’ve put my 260z down to show (my first) and would be nice to make some acquaintances if anyone’s about.

    Brake upgrades, inc handbrake concerns

Okay, that's a pity but thanks for confirming. I'll take pictures of the process and post on here along with comments once they're on and working. Still a bit confused by all the different elements. I thought the R32 calipers and 300zx calipers were one and the same......gulp. Here's the ones...

    Brake upgrades, inc handbrake concerns

Do you know if the Jaguar disc an alternative to the Honda Odyssey disc that milkfab specify with their kit ? I have the Odyssey disc coming, but am looking to squirrel away some spare parts to take with me to Italy, as I doubt I'll be finding a local machine shop that I can have this kind of...

    Brake upgrades, inc handbrake concerns

Hi there. Appreciate this is an older thread, but wondered if I could double check the specs for the brake lines you ordered and installed on your car and understand if there's anything you would change if doing again? I'm installing the Milkfab/Odyssey package on with the R32 calipers onto my...

Thanks for confirming. Relatively new to Z ownership and still finding my way.

    260z brake upgrade and modification

Thanks for responding. So you have a longer braided flexible brake line running directly from the inner wing fixing point to a banjo fixing on the back of the caliper? I have some new Nissan calipers (pic below) that I presume would have previously taken the traditional copper flanged hard pipe...

    260z brake upgrade and modification

Thanks. That bracket isn’t attached to anything and there isn’t one on the other strut (pic 4) I’ve since had a look but it’s at the wrong angle to hold the link between the flexi hose, so would require modifying. Then again I only have one. If yours came with them then I can try to get hold of...

    260z brake upgrade and modification

Hi all. Some help and advice please. Brake failure this week due to the copper flange into the back of the calliper cracking and losing fluid. Turns out that the flexi hose to copper ‘S’ shaped calliper brake pipe was not fixed to the strut (BC coilovers) and the latter was taking stress along...

    From Smoker to Sssssmokin’!

Liking your ears. Don't suppose you'd offer a 'build an ear' service? I spent last weekend replacing one of my two rear cylinders in order to pass the MoT. The other side has a ruined brake line end and was considering trying my hand at pipe bending. Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

123 ignition for Datsun L6 on my L28

Good points. Maybe a proper tune up on a reputable Dyno will address both points. It isn't exactly broken at present either, so I may exercise some patience and wait until I can get a slot. Thank you.

123 ignition for Datsun L6 on my L28

I appreciate that this is an older thread, but there is some really useful information here. So thank you. I am looking to swap out my 260z distributor for one of these 123 systems as while the existing old electronic ignition has so far been reliable, I do have pinking issues at certain revs...

    Gold cup still going ahead

Hi, Is this likely to become an official Club meeting event where we can secure tickets in advance through the club or is it a 'make your own way in' and meet up with cars once inside? New to the club and looking forward to opportunities to meet other owners and share information about their...

    Triple DCOE heat shield

Apologies if this sounds daft, but were you able to fit these to the carbs while on the car? Or did you have to remove them?

    Triple DCOE heat shield

Hi. These look like a great find and I presume could be fitted additionally to the heat shield/protectors that sit under and attach to the trumpet intakes. The link seems not to work, so here's another one. Again presuming that the ones listed for the Soft Mount MGB MINI fit our DCOE 40s...

What did you do to your Z this week?

Spent a few hours replacing all coolant hoses and associated housings with new shiny ones. Started out as an idea to replace just the gaskets but saw some shiny parts on the interweb and got carried away with myself. It's so easy to work on these cars! Drained, changed and was back on the road...
