2023 ADVAN All Fairlady Z Meeting at Fuji Speedway.

😍. This speaks to the boy in me. Can't help but like it! Aggressive styling but not gone to the Civic Type R bonkers level.

    Carburetor FUNdamentals

Check out this video from Smarter Very Day. In order to understand how they work Dustin builds a transparent carb and films it running with a super slow mo camera. Some of the shots are incredible.

    Seats finished

These look fantastic! Can you share your experience of getting these made up? Things like process, design choices\limitations. Did you start from a pre-manufactured seat as a base and go from there? Got any lessons learnt or anything you would do differently if you were to do it again? I could...

    Rolling road tuning

Thanks for all the suggestions. It's where all the cool kids live ;) Unfortunately it seems they have ceased trading. The website is still up, but Google reports them as permanently closed and the phone line is dead. This would have been really convenient otherwise. Before I start making any...

    Rolling road tuning

Hi, After rebuilding my Weber's and installing a 123 dizzy, I've now got the carbs and timing dialed in as best as I can. It's time to hand over to someone that really knows what they are doing to stick it on a RR and do a proper job. Can anyone recommend a tuner with a rolling road? I live...

123 ignition for Datsun L6 on my L28

I installed my 123 dizzy this weekend, and the car start and drives. Thanks to the amazing contributions on this post I managed to avoid some rather un-obvious gotchas and installation went without hitch :).

    Dizzy woes, advice needed.

Thanks Jon, but I wouldn't mind repairing it myself, it might take a while to accumulate the parts it needs, but I think it'll be worth it in the long run.

It's unfortunate, but it doesn't look like it. Alik, thanks to your posts on the 123 Ignition, I feel equipped to tackle the job of installing it. In fact, I have already placed the order.

Thanks for the replies fellas. You confirmed right off the bat that the rotor was... well.. ahem... shafted! (I'll see myself out). The rotor had 10-15 degrees of slop in it before it started to act on the mechanical advance mechanism. It had a really poor fit on the shaft, if that makes sense...

    Dizzy woes, advice needed.

Happy Friday! I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, but with limited experience I would like some confirmation. Unfortunately Google has not given me the answers on this occasion. Can anyone tell me if the stator should be able to freely wiggle about still? I would have thought that...

    Parts clear out - breaking 240z 260z 280z 280zx

Hi Mark, Do you have a throttle linkage rod that goes through the firewall and attaches to the pedal assembly. It has one adjustable end to it. Cheers, James.

If the batch run gets off the ground, I would very much like to put my name down.

What did you do to your Z this week?

Oh hell yeah, now that is what I'm talking about! Looks great against the green, great job! Thanks for the tip.

What did you do to your Z this week?

Not being a fan of chrome, and on the look out for alternatives. I was considering either brushed steel or black. Looking at your car the black bumper is perfect! Any idea where I can pick up a set of them?

The design studio sounds like fun! Would be a great setting to meet you guys too. Is it a case of waiting for Nissan to confirm dates etc?

Thank's all! It's been a few months, but I still get "school boy" excited when I walk in to the garage, I hope that feeling never wears off! I'll try! I don't want this to be a garage queen, hopefully the more I drive the more pictures you lot get! I hope so, guess what I'll be...

Hi! Thank you! I've also heard the same! :bigears: It is remarkably straight and a testament to its previous owners. The gent I bought it off had owned it for around 15 years and kept it garaged, he also said that the original owners did the same. There are stacks of photo albums of the car...

Thought it about time I said hello. I've been lurking on the site for some time now and became a paid up member just after I bought my Z back in June. The Z looks great, sounds great and drives great, although I still look forward to my first outing on some decent driving roads. I look...
