    New Panels

I've had a number of items from these guys and so far they've been absolutely excellent. The rear quarter panel is a very welcome addition as I have damage there and will need to replace that at some time in the future. At the rate I'm going I'd better hope they are in business in 10 years time...

What did you do to your Z this week?

Wow Mike, that is bold but goes perfectly with your car. Any idea what the text says (maybe just "Nissan Motor Company")?

    Fourways, 14th August

Yes, it was great to meet people and have the first chance in a long time to have a close look at a bunch of cars in close proximity to each other . It's so helpful to see different cars in the flesh to be able to help figure out what setups I really do like and why that is. It wasn't all Z...

    Updates to the Highway Code!

AliK: on the new rules - I like anything that prioritises the groups that need more explicit protection in society and the new rules are an improvement on the old ones (though there is still room to improve those). MCBladeRun - I understand why you'd be bothered if you don't ride bikes as it's...

What did you do to your Z this week?

I'm sure you won't cheap out on anything Mark but get good PPE. I've found the difference in visibility and adjustability between a cheap helmet and a medium priced one is significant and it makes things a lot easier. I don't think you need to spend a lot - I have a Parweld helmet that was...

    Getting the best exchange rate

Just to second the comments about Wise (formerly TransferWise). I've used them for several years for currency transfer and they are excellent, both in the rate you get, charges applied and service.

Brand new L series head anyone?

I think that ~4K GBP (unfortunately + import duties + tax) seems excellent for a brand new head when you consider what you are getting and how much it seems to cost to have a head reworked well by a quality machine shop. For those that have little to no mental problem spending a lot of money on...

    Sound deadening

I've no experience with any of these materials so don't know how heavy it is. When we say "huge amount" are we talking 10-20kg or something in total?

    Festival of Speed 2021

It's my first time Rob and I can recommend it very highly as we had a fantastic time. Take your own supplies though if extending your mortgage is not an option for food and drink EXTRA:D .

    Festival of Speed 2021

There are no masks apart from the request that you wear one in confined spaces such as the toilets and some of the shop setups. I found that most people used them in the toilets as they are quite small but virtually no-one did in any other location.

    Festival of Speed 2021

Just got back from the FOS. It's the first time I'd been to this event and I was really impressed with lots of cars and other things to look at and, obviously, lots of noise and burning rubber on the hill :-) . There was a huge amount of people there which is a bit of a shock to the system after...

"US vs rest of the world" bumper mount strengthening

Excellent! Thanks hugely for the photo. You're indeed correct and the 73 has both mounts - so many holes I didn't realise that these captive nuts were for a different style mount: I guess they had the cars fabricated like this and then had to engineer in the required 5mph bumper system.

What did you do to your Z this week?

I subscribe to a few FB carbon fibre groups and people try and do anything and everything from that stuff! I'll be super interested to see how these turn out. At least nobody will be able to shoot you in the back.

"US vs rest of the world" bumper mount strengthening

I have a 1973 HLS30 so it has the "5 mph" front bumper design. Where the bumper mounts attach to the wing there are a couple of metal plates (outer and inner) which I assume are for strengthening - here's the front right outer plate: From the parts diagrams it looks like US and non-US cars...
