    1970 rebuild

That looks fantastic, i see you are in north London, once this is all over it would be nice to have a meet up. Im thinking of following the 432 theme on the whole of the car with a modernised twist so some little details for those who know would be great. Are those real 432 magnesium wheels...

    1970 rebuild

A bit more information on my engine build. it is my intention to recreate the nissan S20 engine with the TVR engine. They are remarkably similar in layout (exhaust/intake on correct sides, low profile cam chain, engine inclination to passenger side even the cam cover bolts are in a similar...

    1970 rebuild

That looks great, a mk2 I assume? Seems to be a good bit of space in there for it. mine thing to pass on that he might not have considered, the tvr engine runs at about a 20 degree angle and only has oil drains on the lower side in the head. I’d be a bit concerned that under hard cornering to...

    1970 rebuild

What a small world. If you need any cad for the throttle bodies etc let me know. The trumpets I’m using are from an e46 m3. Basically a perfect fit and work well in the space I have. I would be really interested to hear some more information on the swap. I know it’s quite a similar layout to the...

    RHD 240Z Dash on ebay

Thanks for the input everyone. Of course this means I’m now committed to a rhd conversion. Out of interest does anyone know the exact position for the steering column cut out on the bulkhead? I am assuming it is symmetrical to the lhd? Again I also assume that a rhd pedal box will be needed...

    RHD 240Z Dash on ebay

I managed to win this in the end and collected yesterday. After a good clean up it is totally mint with no cracks or damage. I might have overpaid a bit but I don’t see a mint rhd dash going down in value.

Gearbox options for replacing 240z autobox with RX8 6 speed??

Absolutely, I still feel this is the best gearbox option for the 240 in terms of value and performance. A few technical challenges to overcome but nothing too serious. I also forgot to mention that there is no speedo drive, you would have to look to the Nissan s15 variant for that.

Gearbox options for replacing 240z autobox with RX8 6 speed??

Which dimensions are you after specifically? I took quite a few but my cad is far from complete

Gearbox options for replacing 240z autobox with RX8 6 speed??

I’m halfway through the conversion myself ( the hard bit in cad is done) A few things to consider Shifter position- it depends on which car you have, my series 1 shifter hole is too far back but should be about right for a later car, I will be just shifting the engine back around 20mm or so...
