Car should be fine on the bumper mounts as long as there is no rot around them ,I've got a very heavy mg magnette on a spit on the bumper mounts and you can do a full 360 with no probs

finally got round to have a look and was very impressed all round ,your making a cracking job of it Can't wait to see it on the road mate

Mine is breathing heavy too and isn't getting hot so I'm changing the metal breather for a plastic one which seems a bit longer but ive noticed a direction arrow on top of it ,am I to assume this points to the front of car ???

I had problems with mine too and had to fit a 3mm spacer on the front, although a later replacement rota had a bigger centre hole.
