    Yahoo Japan

I’ve used fromjapan.co.jp several times for my skyline (as recently as last week) and the service has always been great.

    Nice old Datsun Saloon

You could be right actually, just looked and apparently they both had the same lights until ‘67.

    Nice old Datsun Saloon

Yeah really cheap. Not sure many people over here know much about them...or want them? We picked a 411 up last year for £1k! Think that one for sale is a 410 as the 411 has more rectangular lights. Cool cars!

    LD28's on ebay

I’m pretty sure it’s actually CNC’d from a single billet, I believe it’s made by Toru Kawabata in Tokyo. Nice job!

New book ('mook') 'Fairlady Z Story & History'

It’s definitely a ‘Mook’ in Japan....they are pretty fond of them.

So, whose is this track roadster then.....?

Hi Sean, It belongs to Bob Neville, owner of RJN motorsport (now Jensen team rocket RJN). He offered it to me but unfortunately I don’t have the money for it at the moment. Nice car, had a lot spent on it too. Tom

    specing engine

Yes for sure.....and kameari look like Datsun spirit ones and both of them look like any other high quality, forged racing piston of the same size. Only slight differences in skirt size, skirt coating, ring heights etc between them. The fact is I doubt many tuning companies have in house piston...

    specing engine

We had this discussion before I believe. This is the response from Eiji after last time you brought this up. I left it at the time but you seem persistent. “Yes there are those who don't know and brag about things. This can't be helped. I have (name removed) and other manufacturers do the...

    New Air box

Not sure it will fit the Z around the turret area. Also no real need to duct from the centre with the Z as there are plenty of openings in the front rad surround panel.

    Retro Rides Goodwood

To be honest, if it’s a genuine GT-R, chances are the bonnet would be up so you could see that beautiful S20 twin cam engine! The engine is the obvious difference. From the outside if it were a genuine GT-R the chances are it would be in an original, factory, colour and only sporting a set of...

    Retro Rides Goodwood

A very brief description is: It’s a Skyline 2000GT/possibly GTX ‘Hakosuka’ chassis code KGC10. Belongs to a guy called Steven Grove (who has three of them). Built up as a GTR replica ish (as were many of the C10 chassis cars in Japan, because of the legendary GTR PGC10/KPGC10 race cars). They...

Custom Ignition leads? Datsun spirit style

And you would loose it all..... in the very early days he may have used kameari parts in his builds (he’s actually very good friends with them and has great respect for their products). I promise you that his products are his own design and not anyone else’s re branded etc. Most of these...

Custom Ignition leads? Datsun spirit style

I’m pretty sure they are not kameari ones (not that that would be such a bad thing as they are also a great product) or maxpeeding as others have said in the past. There are hopefully others on here who would back me up in saying that Eiji is a very genuine and honest guy who takes pride in his...

Custom Ignition leads? Datsun spirit style

I have a set from Eiji at Datsun spirit that came with my engine and as with everything from him they are superb. I would always recommend supporting companies like Eiji’s if possible but I understand shipping costs and waiting times can be a pain. The MSD wires are a great product, which is why...

    Hakosuka on ebay

At least I would say. A top quality bare shell paint job can run to 10k and you can spend that again on bodywork if it is bad. Also factor in that every part you will want will most likely have to come from Japan (if you can find it) and none of it comes cheap. Having said that it still baffles...

    Hakosuka on ebay

Has been for sale for a while, but not on eBay. Fair price but I always worry when cars come from Japan with a fresh (ish) coat of paint where the door locks, rubbers and hinges got painted too . It’s normally hiding some horrors and this one looks like it may have a few issues. As with...
