Yes that's why they're hard to replace on the z31 - every f#@$er wants them for a different car Sent from my SM-G361F using Tapatalk

A couple of photo's just to dispel the fantasy of diy or over-plating of chassis. These were deliberately left in unrestored state - factory spot-welds easily discernible Loving the diatribe from someone who professed to have no knowledge of the car and has never seen it but whatever floats...

Ok having seen yours, and after a little more digging. .. Would you be able to give me the chassis rail measurements from yours please? Having Oxford Engineering on our doorstep, they have taken the measurements and the Depth of the chassis rail, or thickness of the metal on this is 68mm top to...

It is painted over now ,but anyone in the know would recognise the Nissan spares primer in the eighties it went slightly greener and you could refinish straight on top They did but didn't key or sand this area very well so the stamp bled thru 100% proof Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

the factory stamp has bled thru the colour - this would only happen on a factory part ,the castellated rear of the lower front member is different on ca part it is a solid panel with 3 to 1 spot welds and defo factory to the chassis rails which are mega thick the sump guard brackets are there...

I'd say it was because they were better priced option, but it'd only be my opinion not necessarily fact. We had a few discussions iirc but the deal on them was too good Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

I believe the Tokico were chosen as they are 5 way adjustable and kinda modern market equivalent - just my belief from discussions with Paul Sent from my GT-I9195 using Tapatalk

Which kinda brings me back to asking which car CAN it be compared to? It has the Tokico illuminas as the cost of refurbishing the koni struts was weighed and found wanting I think. They might still be rebuilt yet tho. As far as the chassis strengthening goes, paul (current chef I guess)worked...

As far as if it fails to sell - well that's someone else's loss and the current owners gain. He will gain if it sells too. His worth - as much as the car's The "estimate" is from an expert in the market that has years of experience and he admitted it was difficult to put a price on BECAUSE it's...

Oh and you have to factor in with the price of GoodWood race cars the parts/man hours to maintain - JD Classics paid nearly £100000 for big Sam in 2010 i believe? 40-50k restoration maybe? So if they were selling today they'd ask 200,000-250,000? Or maybe not. ExNissan works driver Tony Walker...

Agreed. And this has, albeit admittedly not as well known obviously. However, as you said how many at GoodWood are original? Exactly my point. This has almost been a time capsule car - yes it has been " restored ",but it would be more accurate to say it has been repaired to its race spec/livery...

    Samuri 240Z £110,000 (est)

Love that. Also it's actually only worth between what the buyer is prepared to pay and what the seller is prepared to take. You would not get this car from the current owner for £60k+ Oh and the listing/guide price is what barons believe. They would not list it if they didn't expect it to make...
