    Gearbox removal on Jack stands

Do you only want to drop the gearbox down to work on the clutch/rear of engine or get the box out from underneath the car too? If it's the former then axle stands will be fine, done it myself but I would strongly recommend buying a small, wheeled transmission jack, the kind with a tilting bed...

I might have a flywheel/s kicking about, but I'll need to find them first And they might be 240Z ones which run a smaller diameter clutch?

    S14 gearbox rebuild.

It's certainly possible, if new counter shaft and any other damaged parts are available Worth it?, price the parts up to repair and if you can get a better box for less then it's not

    Bucket seats in a 260Z

Nope, really low, I cut and welded the OEM seat mounts, the parts of the shell/floor the runners mount to, not the runners This allowed me to use Recaro fixed side mounts and to get these low and parallel to the floorpan I think there are some pics of what I did on a thread on Hybridz

    Bucket seats in a 260Z

Personally I think your only option is to modify the OEM seat mounts if you really want the Pole Positions to fit I run Profi SPG's in my 240Z and to get them exactly how I wanted involved cutting and welding the OEM seat mounts and using genuine Recaro fixed side mounts

    Opinions on rear control arms

Threads in bending for a start, which also applies to the T3 ones, which I also wouldn't have anywhere near my car

    Opinions on rear control arms

They look like they are, appears to have an inner/outer threaded stock adjuster with a pinch bolt to secure On a purely personal note, I wouldn't have them anywhere near my car

    S14 Gearbox

I'm thinking of selling my S14 gearbox, I used it in my 240Z for about 4 years predominately for the sprinting and hill climbing I used to participatein and am now reverting to an FS5C71B Let’s start with the bad bits:- If you do a lightening fast 4th > 5th gear change it sometimes crunches...

Well done! not losing the clip is a skill many fail to master :) Looking back at a previous image of your AFM it does look very sorry for itself Just a thought, I'm pretty certain Nissan used Bosch components under licence for the 280Z and 280Zx EFI systems and the AFM does look very much like...

You need to remove the metal retaining clip from the plastic connector The clip is the thin round section rusty looking thing that runs approx. 75% of the way around the plug in a grove Small flat blade screwdriver or a pick and gently ease it out of the grove its in - carefully though - they...
