That will be a 260z if its 1975, the 240z ceased production in 1973, you will be able to source parts and advice of many experienced members on here, I would get quotes from your local chap as four ways will be expensive but if you and your son can do basic work like stripping the car...

Sadly the restorers look on ebay and car and classic too looking at the value/asking prices of restored Z's and adjust their prices accordingly.

I had my car taken back to bare metal, sections replaced in the sills, repairs to both cowls, the cracked dash repaired and the centre console which was in 2 pieces repaired and painted in a lovely metallic blue for £3500

It sounds like fuel starvation to the pump especially if it's noisy, the bosch pump will flow far more fuel than the original, I would guess the guage of the fuel line could be too small for the pump or a pick up issue from the tank when the car is under load with gravity involved. Certainly...

Yes Rich but if you read that ad that car needs a complete respray, for it to be done properly and stripped and back together could be 3k, I would think this is why it's still for sale :)
