I have decided to sell my early 1972 Fairlady project .
Having spoken to a very knowledgeable member on here I am certain that the car is Nissan Fairlady Fairlady Z-L ('Luxe'/Deluxe) even though I had to register it here as a Datsun 240Z ( DVLA) were not very helpful . I imported the car myself quiet a while ago and the car is UK registered and V 5 is in my name with all taxes paid

This car is very rare in that it has all of its original Nissan Fairlady parts and is still on its original 901 Silver on quiet a few panels, I have listed the unique parts below:
Steel Wheels.
Wheel trims with Z logo ( not Datsun).
Fairlady emblems, wings, bonnet, Tailgate.
Honey Comb style Grill.
Wing mounted mirrors.
Original L 20 engine.
Factory Fitted Air Conditioning.
2 position seat mountings.
Passenger foot rest.
Rally style clock/ stop watch.
KPH speedo.
Am / Fm radio.
2 position side light switch.
Plain alloy Sill covers ( not Datsun).
Fairlady Steering wheel and horn pad.
Lap / diagonal seat belt with B post clips still in place.
( only thing missing is electric antenna)

I have had a specialist carry out quiet a lot of work on the shell making it very strong Work carried out , New floors with chassis rails, inner sills . dog legs all rusty metal cut out and replaced.
The dash is crack free and I believe the car is very nearly complete. I have a brand new windscreen that comes with the car
It still has some minor welding required on the tail gate slam panel and a very small area near the battery tray. A couple of holes on the door skins and wing tops but all very easily reparable. the door and tailgate frames are all very solid
The car was imported into the USA by an air-force member where it remained until I bought it . As far as I can tell the car was last on the road in 2002 and when I bought it it ran and drove ( auxiliary fuel tank was used ) . However the radiator pipes are now perished and I dint get to involved in trying to get it going again, but I don't think it will take much.
I am looking for £25k and will let member have first interest in the car.
Any questions or to organize an inspection please give me a call on 07555 144605
David
